Summer Isle (Love By the Shore #1) by Morgan Routh

We’re actually wondering what this was. Not quite WTF, but its cousin, What the Hell!

Jill and Melody are just graduating from high school and on the cusp of a new life. Melody has been accepted in a prestigious Ivy League school and is about to leave. They live on a sun-kissed island which hosts international racing and draws the rich and famous on the regular. And quite as regularly, out-and-proud Jill has flings with the visiting rich and some of the famous also. On the night of graduation the graduating seniors are having a party on the beach and in a private moment, Melody kisses Jill on the cheek which leads to both wanting more in the coming days.

Firstly there was too much of thoroughly uninvolving sailing stuff. The characterisations started well but Jill quickly deteriorated with her presumptuousness in changing Melody’s shift with another waiter and practically forcing a picnic-date on Melody and her complete lack of Melody’s privacy when she goes through the contents of the latter’s bag. Then another force-date kind of thing – at night this time. And we totally didn’t get Jill’s arrival in Melody’s new school.

Recommendation for this one, just NO.
