Djara: Book One by Kat Evans

⭐⭐⭐

At 15,000 words, this novelette is a teaser trailer…and like all good trailers, this is engaging, entertaining and has us eagerly anticipating the rest.

In Djara, we have our own cowgirl, a bounty hunter living rough in the wilds. She is rough, tough and written along the lines of a typical cowboy who doesn’t say all that much but has their story crackling just below the surface. Djara is on the trail of Kody Lawless who is rumoured to turn up every once in a while at Silverton, a town where Djara has her past in form of the gorgeous Eden McAllister.

Djara was alright, but Eden…oh Eden! Loved her. Loved every single thing about her and couldn’t even begin to grasp Djara’s behaviour with this captivating woman.

The book doesn’t quite end. It stops just when the story really takes off. Which we expect will continue in the next book – hopefully soon.
