The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo by Taylor Jenkins Reid

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

This book is sheer awesomeness. Thoroughly immersive it just makes inroads into the mind and heart making it thoroughly unputdownable.

Evelyn Hugo is an aging and reclusive megastar. She’s lived quite a life notching up seven husbands and some Oscar awards during her halcyon days. She suddenly makes news for giving some of her most famous clothes for a charity-auction. She also sends word to a magazine expressing her willingness to give an interview to one specific journalist, Monique Grant. When a befuddled Monique meets Evelyn, she is further shocked when Evelyn says that she wants to tell Monique her whole story – no holds barred – and Monique is free to publish the biography. Thus starts our journey with Evelyn her seven marriages, and the love of her life, Celia St James, another huge actress who was Evelyn’s contemporary.

The book is brilliant. It makes the whole story come alive within you, making you live every feeling that the characters are experiencing. Evelyn is totally wow, but we were completely swept away by Celia (and would and a Celia of our own too).

You just cannot afford to miss this book!
