Dear Me by Robin Alexander

⭐⭐⭐☆

Quirky (maybe slightly crazy and OTT) characters, ridiculous situations, laugh and giggle inducing writing and two truly likeable MCs – these are the guarantees of any Robin Alexander book.

Alexis Holt has been single for some time. Stacy Kirkland is in the last leg of ending her long-dying relationship. Alexis and Stacy meet (more like have a run-in) at the engagement of Alexis’ sister, Lana and Stacy’s cousin, Jason.

Okay, so in Alexander’s books the plot is not as important as the writing. Her writing is funny and the almost every character is likeable. Always, the two MCs are super-likeable and that is always a big, big plus.

In this one, the scene where Stacy and Alexis are partners in a game of badminton but end up hitting the shuttle at each other with an intent to actually hit the other is hilarious. Alexis’ grandma’s unconsciously erotic representation of a bowl of fruit also had us giggling.

You can’t go very wrong with this author, but our favourite so far remains Always Alex.
