Irresistible stripper – corporate big shot. One hot, amazing
night. Quite a common fantasy played out in this novella.
Caylen Jarrett next in line to take over Jarrett Financial
Corporation, is currently VP in the organisation. To woo a new client she is
off to Texas. As a part of the wheedling, she takes her client to a strip club
and meets Candy Coated Rain Drop who offers to dance for her and then asks to
meet her again. They hook up that night in Caylen’s hotel room where she learns
that Candy’s name is Tanner. After that unforgettable night, Caylen leaves
Tanner sleeping with a note for her and returns to California. Cut to a few
months later when a Tanner Bryce turns up in Caylen’s office and it turns out
to be the same girl. She was working as a professional dancer to put herself
through college (clichéd much?) and now has a B.S in Computer Science. She has
been offered and has taken a job in Santa Barbara.
The books follows Caylen who comes across as a
self-important assjerk. We just cannot figure out why all the lovelies in the
book take a shine on her. In fact, her behaviour with Tanner is quite unforgivable. She is mean to teh girl, deliberately hurts her, blows her off...not cool at all! Tanner is quite the redeeming thing in the book. She
is likeable, open, alive and follows her heart. She surely deserved better than
Caylen. Every single star rating for this book is only, and only, for Tanner.
