Marbella Sunsets by Laura Conway

⭐⭐⭐

Big plus in this book: the MCs actually talk to each other about things on their mind instead of overthinking it all and/or creating painful (to read) angst.

Carley Morrison is in the midst of travelling the world when her American passport gets stolen and she is stranded in Marbella, Spain. She still has an Irish passport and a little bit of money but takes on a bartending/waitressing job to tide her over till she gets a new passport. A colleague has been kicked out from her job as PA to Andrea Harris, a successful businesswoman, on a suspicion of stealing. Carley decides to try her luck at getting the PA position which sounds like being a well-paid job.

This is an age-gap (14 years between the two MCs) romance with the rich-girl-poor-girl, part fake romance tropes being thrown in for a good measure too. Good, detailed sex scenes are a bonus.

It’s a relaxed and stress-free read, perfect for an  afternoon or night time read.
