Strawberry Summer by Melissa Brayden

⭐⭐⭐⭐☆

A beautiful book of gorgeous love! This is a crazy good romance which will send all sorts of emotions skittering through you.

Margaret Beringer is not on the top of the totem pole of popularity in school, but not particularly picked on either. Her family owns a large strawberry farm on the outskirts of the town of Tanner Peak, a fairly small community. She has a happy family – a sweet, popular older brother, a romance writer mom, a doting dad and a cousin who is also her BFF. Into the rather mundane life that Margaret is leading, in blows charismatic, sophisticated and uber cool Courtney Carrington, daughter of a department store magnate. Courtney is immediately attracted to Margaret and quite pursues her. Their romance unfolds over almost a decade in the book and it is absolutely beautiful.

Brayden has created a lovely small town with extremely likeable characters. Margaret, through her highs and lows is someone you can completely empathise with. However, Courtney is breath-taking and flawless. It was also wonderful to read about a cool sophisticate coming into high school and not being a weirdo or a bitch.

This is one helluva great book.
