Room Service by Fiona Riley

⭐⭐⭐

The stand out thing about this book is that it has lots and lots and lots of sex.

Olivia Dawson manages a kickass team as the chief designer at Greater Image Design Inc., a company which transforms boring interior spaces into ‘green’ spaces. Savannah Quinn is a project manager with New Horizons, a construction company. New Horizons needs to explore newer ideas to make their building more contemporary and select Greater Image as their partners for a proof-of-concept in three of their buildings. Their respective roles throw Olivia and Savannah into a close working relationship which gets complicated with their irresistible attraction towards each other.

This book actually reads like it was meant to be either outright erotica or an erotic romance but has somehow been forced into the ‘romance’ template. But the sexy times – pretty great! This is probably the first time that we’ve read a whole, long detailed, blow-by-blow phone sex scene. Plus all those trysts in public? Those can only come when someone is really writing erotica.

Olivia is a very, very likeable MC. We couldn’t warm up to Savannah for a good part of the book because she seemed to be kind of leading Olivia on – she seemed to be way less into Olivia than Olivia was into her. But that got corrected with a rom-com kind of not-overtly-dramatic-but-dramatic-enough ending.

Definitely recommended for a dose of sizzling heat.
