Chicklit, humour central with a side of angst. This book is so
much fun and such a fluid read that it should be an immediate dive for anyone
who hasn’t read it.
Pia and Cate meet under ridiculous circumstances; when Pia
is literally hanging upside down from a tree. The first meeting leads to
spending a little more time together that evening which ends up being the whole
night wherein both the MCs gift the other their idea of a perfect evening. But
no numbers exchanged. So what next? In true romcom fashion, the next is a
dramatic reveal which becomes the crux of the conflict between them.
The side characters are likeable, funny and supportive. They
really spice up the dialogues. Pia is clumsy, funny and romantic. Cate is just
awesome; beautiful, brilliant, funny and sexy as hell. However, it was a little
bit of suspension-of-disbelief for us to understand why exactly Cate would go
for Pia who, while all gooey and romantic in her mind about Cate, really does
nothing in their burgeoning relationship to make Cate’s attraction to her
probable.
Our minor squabble aside, this is one of the most fun books
we’ve ever found in lesfic romances.
