There are some books that when you
read, you just kind of slow down your pace to savour them. You want to drag the
pleasure of the book longer even while you’re dying to move on faster. (Yeah,
it sounds vaguely sexual, but it is a thing, you know.) Infinite Loop is one
such book.
O’Brien writes erotic romances.
Her characters and their building relationships are superbly portrayed and the
sex is hot.
Regan O'Riley is a shy geek with a
passion for video games. A programmer, and a workaholic by default – since there
is nothing else to do. Mel Raines is a cop who hates her job. They meet in a
straight bar where Mel picks up Regan for a one-night stand, but it doesn’t
quite work out that way.
While responding to a complaint of
domestic abuse, Mel’s partner is shot and Mel is in a bad way. Eager to help,
Regan suggests a road trip to Mel, which she accepts.
The road trip is a journey into
themselves, each other and lots of delicious sex. However, while the sex is
great (yes, it is), it is the relationship that is the star of this this story.
The discovery of each other’s past; their individual baggage; the way a loving,
open relationship can support, build ad overcome past scars are the parts that
really make this book special.
One more from this author that
will surely appeal to those looking for romance as well as those looking for
erotica.
