Tinsel by Kris Bryant

⭐⭐⭐⭐★

There are pets in a LOT of books but the cat in this one is the most important device for plot (and romance) movement. So Catmas Evergreen who later becomes Tinsel is a fully integrated and important character in this cute, cute novella.

Jessica Raymond doesn’t have a great run with relationships and three weeks before Christmas her lasts one ends thanks to her girlfriend’s serial cheating ways. Jessica’s ego is more hurt than her emotions but she still needs to deal with the emotional impact of her ex hooking up with her boss. She is in no frame of mind to be adopted by a grey cat with silver eyes – no matter how high its adorability quotient. But when that happens she can’t very well turn it out either. So while she is saddled with fostering it before she finds its rightful owner, she decides to take it to the vet. The vet turns out to be one super-hot Dr. Taylor Mitchell, with whom Jessica doesn’t start of on the right foot. Plus Jessica feels totally judged by Taylor for not enthusiastically becoming a cat mom raising her heckles and becoming defensive. But circumstance and cat keep bringing Jessica and Taylor into each other’s orbit and Taylor is frankly, just too impossible to resist.

Taylor is the stuff all things wonderful are made of. Jessica is a little bit of an ass in the relationship initially, but then settles into a pretty okay groove. The combination of Wonderful and Pretty Okay works well in this totally sweet romance.

Totally recommended for high level cuteness and sweetness.
