Gentle romance, excellent chemistry and low angst; this book
is just right to get into a romantic frame.
Paige Leighton is a corporate consultant, which means she
helps businesses that aren’t doing too well to get back on track. Something of
a jack-of-all, Paige’s strength is to go into any, literally any, business,
study it, study the company that has hired her and offer the best solutions to
improve the bottom line. At the end of one successful consultancy, her client
gifts Paige’s expertise to his daughter, Kassidy Drake who owns a lavender farm.
The father-daughter don’t have the best of relationships and Paige’s
interference is not exactly welcome. But attraction and Cupid can strike
anyone, anywhere.
The two MCs are well defined and well written. Their
interactions and dialogues are great fun. The whole atmosphere of the lavender farm
is excellently evoked. Secondary characters, particularly Kassidy’s siblings
are really sweet.
This one is a lovely read.
