Accountant and financial advisor Lacey Chamberlain has a
small office and a fairly well-established business.
Alicia Wright is the owner of the noisy, boisterous
marketing office that moves in next door shattering Lacey’s hitherto quiet existence
in more ways than one.
Lacey and Alicia are both well-written and well-rounded
characters which is one of the nicest parts of this book. Their interactions
from the very first one have us hooked. Initially it is Alicia making all the
overtures but as the book progresses, we find Lacey more and more involved and
involving.
The author manages to make us like both the women equally
and that is quite a huge win for any author. Usually, every reader gravitates
towards one character whether the author intends it or not. But in this one, we
can feel both characters equally and root for both of them.
The romance has all usual elements but in this one Alicia’s
withdrawal and Lacey’s hospitalisation are excellently handled.
Georgia Beers usually pleases…and this one is pleasing too.
